History
Electronic Payments and Commerce Limited (EpayCom) is domain-specific
consultancy that focuses exclusively on developing payment &
security systems and e-business solutions for the financial
services industry.
The company is based in the United Kingdom with offices located
in both London and Whitstable (on the North Kent Coast). Originally
founded in 1991, under the name Cafemoor, in 1997 the company
changed to Electronic Payments and Commerce Limited in order
to reflect a major expansion of its services to include the
emerging generation of e-commerce applications, datacom networks,
and Internet-based technologies.
The company has vast amount of experience working in over 30
countries across Europe, North and South America, the Russian
Federation and in the Asia/Pacific region.
The company has a broad client base which includes organizations
such as the World Bank, the
IMF, and the European Union’s
PHARE project. |

EpayCom has been supplying resources to many of the leading
development Banks and aid agencies for many years. Our client
base includes World Bank, European Bank
for Reconstruction and Development, the International
Monetary Fund and the world’s largest Automated
Clearing House. In addition we are a strategic partner
of S.W.I.F.T.

Market
Focus
EpayCom focuses its business practice on countries which lack
modern, electronic-based payment and business infrastructures.
Using the Payment Highway Methodology our teams create solutions
such as central bank payment and settlement functions, security
depositories, stock exchange settlement systems and automated
clearing houses.
EpayCom also provides strategic advising and leadership services
for telecommunications planning and design, electronic banking
services, the design and implementation of National Payment
Systems which embrace Real Time Gross
Settlement with ‘DVP’, as well as defining
and implementing regional and international links and interfaces
such as ‘Continuous Linked Settlement’
or ‘Target’. |

EpayCom has built upon its core group of in-house consultants
by creating associate relationships with some of Europe’s
leading experts in the area of financial systems, enabling the
company to draw from multiple disciplines. Therefore, in addition
to the deep base of skills in banking, payment and securities

areas of training, international audit, international accounting,
